Comic Central City has reported that Tobey Maguire has allegedly stated during an interview with reporters that he enjoyed his time as Peter Parker and that he wants to play the role again but clarified that he hasn't been contacted by Marvel to play the role of Spider-Man in the MCU.
"During a comic con over at Akron, Tobey Maguire told reporters that he absolutely misses playing Spider-Man and said that 'I would play him again (talking about the Spider-Man role) in a heartbeat but make no mistake they (Marvel) haven't talked to me about it'" wrote Comic Central City.
Meanwhile, a fan over at TV4Chan has revealed his theory as to how Marvel can tweak the Raimi Trilogy and make it fit with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to the fan, "Spidey 3 happened in 2007. this is before Iron Man and the rest of the MCU came about, explaining why we don't see Stark tower in the city Skyline. Due to the events of Spidey 3, with Parker losing his best mate and almost losing his life, he decided to take it easy and retire from crime fighting," wrote the fan.
The fan then wrote a way as to how Marvel can bring back JK Simmons as JJ Jameson and how Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man can reveal himself at "Captain America: Civil War".
"Now with the Civil War, Spidey has to come out of the woodwork to fight for what he believes. He may not have a major role, but we can have a mature Peter (with Tobey returning, and more importantly, JK Simmons)" wrote the fan.
The fan then continued, "In Spider-Man 2 we see a discussion between JJJ and Hoffman, trying to figure out what the new villian (Dr. Octopus) should be called. Hoffman says Dr. Strange, which JJJ likes, but then exclaims it is taken."
